DAY 5
A QUIET SUNDAY IN RAINY CAMBRIDGE
Dear Diary,
As I moved to another host family on Saturday, I could get to know with my new family on Sunday. I was able to sleep in and that was very nice, because the days before we had spent in London and they had been very exhausting. When I finally got up at 9 o‘clock, I talked to my host family, especially the two daughters, because the parents are foreigners and so they don’t speak English very well. The host family was very nice and the breakfast was quite delicious too. They offered me a muffin, a glass of milk and 2 crepes and when I had finished I couldn’t have eaten anything else.
After breakfast I couldn’t talk to them anymore, because I had to write my texts for school. That was a shame, because they were very likeable. At one o’clock p.m I had to be in Cambridge, but then it started raining. Actually we wanted to go to Grantchester with our class, but that wasn’t possible, because of the rain. That was a pity, because I was really looking forward to seeing Grantchester, as I’ve heard that it is a very beautiful village and I know a series, which is called Grantchester, too. But we couldn’t visit the village and so I got the afternoon off.
I went to Caffé Nero with my friends and we drank some hot chocolate which was very good. The whole atmosphere in the Caffé was very enjoyable, because there weren’t so many people and so it wasn’t very loud. After that I went home again, because I couldn’t do anything in the city. The whole day was a bit boring, because it rained a lot and there were not many activities that I could have done. At home our host family prepared dinner, but they didn’t really speak with me, because they we were watching TV. That evening I took a shower, which is not really special, but it was actually the first one in a long time as my first host family didn’t have a shower.

HAPPY 5A CLASS
AND 5B
Today our group had to meet at 13.15 at the Drummer Bus Station, because some others from our group could do something with their host families (because it was Sunday) and the rest had a program planned for the afternoon. Although it then came to organizational difficulties, we could do something ourselves, so we went to the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology and there, the entrance was free. Learning about different ancient cultures and also about the history of Cambridge was made possible in a very interesting way there.

THE MORNING
As it was Sunday, we got up very late at 9.30 a.m. Our host mother was so kind to cooked English breakfast for us: Baked beans, tomatoes, toast, sausages, bacon and porridge. The baked beans and the porridge we liked the most. Before the breakfast, Samuel and I had been on a running for half an hour, so we were quite hungry and ready for such a big breakfast
THE AFTERNOON
In the afternoon we weren’t able to do the activity, which was to walk to Grantchester because of the rain. Instead we just had a free afternoon and it came to our mind that we would go the Escape Room, which was called “Lockhouse Escape Games”. In between we went home and a text for our English class.
THE EVENING
The most exciting thing that happened on this Sunday was this escape room. There were three different themes to choose from. We went for the “ Egyptian Tomb”. It was about finishing the work of a treasure. It was a really thrilling and new experiences.
