DAY 8
WALK TO GRANTCHESTER
VERY BRITISH ...
DRINKING TEA
Dear diary,
although I was really tired, not in the best mood and it was cloudy in the morning, that day turned out to be one of the funniest days we’ve had here so far.
At school we discussed conspiracy theories and did a small research about some. There are really interesting ones, for example that our world is watched and controlled by aliens and the only reason we can’t breathe in space is that they don’t want us to ’escape’, but there are really unrealistic and dumb ones too. I read about one, that said that Barack Obama could control the weather with the help of HAARP and that cats are controlling the world, but I think that goes too far.
Afterwards we went to a restaurant, called Revolution and I guess I had the best burger of my whole life!
In the afternoon we walked to Grantchester, which was really beautiful, and we had a nice elderflower juice (at this point I want to thank Prof. Mair for inviting us).
And then the climax of the day came: a bee landed on my shoulder and didn’t want to go away. On top of that it ‘soiled’ my white pullover. Well, I didn’t enjoy that but after all it was a great day with lots of laughter.
