Day 2     TUESDAY 14th

Our first night at our host family was comfortable, but we woke up at six o'clock. We tried to fall

asleep again and woke at 7:30 . We had cornflakes for breakfast and got ready for our long day.

We took the bus City 7 to Drummer Street where we met our classmates and teachers.

Some of our classmates were too late because they had missed the bus. After everybody had arrived,

we went to the market square to meet our tour guide. She showed us Cambridge's famous Colleges.

We were fascinated by the Gothic / Tudor style of their architecture with its typical

decoration elements. The wide parks, gardens and alleys between the colleges showed

the different shades of green of the early springtime.

The tour took 2 hours and afterwards we had lunch break. We ate fish and chips at jamaicablue.

At 14:30 we attended our first English lessons. We had to write a test in order to get divided up into

the right achievement groups  first and afterwrads we talked about education.

Lessons finished at 5:45 p.m. and we immediately went back home. There we ate Spaghetti for dinner.

In the morning at 9:30 am we all met in a street called "Drummerstreet" where all the buses stop.

When every one had arrived at the meeting point, we walked to the Guildhall of Cambridge. There we split up into three groups and showed round by a local guide led. The tours were pretty exciting because we learned something about city itself and about the famous Colleges and about the University of Cambridge. Because of this tour we got a better view of the city and knew where we could buy something to eat and drink as well as where we can buy cheap stuff.

At lunch break we all went to different restaurants and shops. The two hours gave us enough time for everything we wanted to do. After that we had to meet up in front of the building of the "EC-School" and then our English lessons began. We had to do a little examination to test our skill-level and after that we had to work in pairs of two and solve some exercises.

When the school ended we went to a street called "St. Andrews Street" and from there all of our mates went back home to their host families. The whole day the weather was very nice and we had a funny day in Cambridge.
