Day 6
LONDON EXPERIENCES
On the 18th of April we went to London. For most of us it was the
first time to see the English capital. We started our trip at the
railway station in Cambridge where we took the train to London Kings Cross and from there we took the tube to the Houses of Parliament. First we went on theLondon Eye. We had a fantastic view of the whole
city, so we took lots of pictures. After we had got off, we went straight to a 4D- Show, which was included in the ticket. It was amazing!
After that we had our lunch break. Then we went on foot to the Tower Bridge because the sun was shining lovely but there was a very nasty wind. As we arrived at the world-famous bridge we had a short walk
across the bridge from there we could see the skyline of London with the Gherkin and other tall buildings.
After waliing to the backside of the Tower, we took again the tube to Oxford Street where we could go shopping for over two hours. Nearly everybody found something for him/her to buy so I think that it was a
good idea to go to Oxford Circus. After the shopping we went to Kings Cross from where we took again the train to Cambridge.
All in all, it was a good day.

THE LONDON EYE
On the 6th day of our journey we went to London. We all met up at the railway station in Cambridge. It took us round about an hour to get to London, Kings Cross Station. The first thing we did was taking a ride on the London Eye. During this ride we were able to enjoy a stunning view all over London. From up there we were able to see some Famous buildings like The Big Ben Tower, Westminster Abbey, St. Pauls Cathedral and many others. After that we watched an amazing 4D movie, which introduced us to the surroundings of the London Eye. The movie was special because they added effects like real smoke and snow. Then we had a one hour break. Most of us were eating their lunches, which they had bought in shops along the river Thames. Our next destination was Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. There we had a short 10 minute break before we got onto the Tube in the direction of Oxford Circus. The remaining day was spent with walking around, shopping or just enjoying a coffee and a snack. At 6 o´clock we all went straight back to Kings Cross station. We arrived in Cambridge at 8 o´clock. From there on everyone went home on their own.
