Day 3

     WEDNESDAY 15th

Today we met at the Guildhall at the market square at 10:00. Then we had about three hours for doing our interviews.

For example, we had to interview taxi and bus drivers and people working in museums about their jobs and life

in Cambridge. At about half past 12 we met up with our teachers in front of the EC-school to give a first feedback

of our interviews to the teachers. Then we had a two and a half hour lunch break. We went to "MC Donald's" and

ate some hamburgers. During our lessons at the EC-school we learned some important phrases of how to handle

a difficult situation. One of these sentences was "There is something I've been meaning to talk to you about".

At 5:45 p.m. we were allowed to leave school. We went home to our host family by bus number 8 and for dinner we

got an English speciality called "Yorkshire Pudding".

Today we had to meet in front of the market square at 10:00. Then we had two and a half hours for

doing our “Field Work”. So we had to interview people of special professions about their lives in

Cambridge and their jobs. We were asking questions like “How many hours do you work a day?” or

“Since when have you been living in Cambridge?”. And sometimes we even took a picture. At 12:30

we met in front of the Guild house. Then we had a two hours' lunch break. before  school started at 2.30 p.m.. At first we got split up into three groups of about 12 students depending on our level of skill.

Then we went to our classrooms and had school until 17:45. There we especially focused on speaking.

We learned many new vocabulary too.

After school most of us went straight home by bus and others stayed longer in the town centre.

By the way the weather was beautiful!!
