In the morning we had to do our fieldwork. Each of our classmates have had a different topic for their fieldwork.

Our task has been to interview” Punting staff”. At  we could not any punting station. Then we got informed that we also could interview some other people instead of punting staff. That’s why we went to the central market for our interviews. We asked four people who sell their products at this market. Unfortunately, it turned out that this all was a misunderstanding and that we still have to find out about the work and everyday life of the people involved with punting – what a shame :-)

At lunch break we bought something to eat and then we went to the Fudge Kitchen where we got some fudge for free. We walked through the streets to Christ’s Pieces and observed some ducks. After three hours at school, we went home by bus and enjoyed a delicious meal. After this exciting day we were very tired and slept well.

Day 3

Our day started with waking up at 6:30 a.m. Right after that we had toast with margarine and strawberry jam for breakfast. Afterwards we started getting ready, which means an hour in front of the only mirror in our room doing our makeup, changing and packing for the day. So, when we finally got out to catch the bus, we met up with two other classmates, who are on the same bus. When we arrived at the city center of Cambridge, we split up again because we had to do our fieldwork. Our task was to interview market sales people. The first three people we had asked, didn't have time. Then we got to interview 6 people, all very different and all had different stories to tell. But all had one thing in common - they enjoy their job working at the market.

Afterwards we had amazing food at the market, meat with rice and chicken with noodles at a Malaysian stand.
We spent the next two hours shopping at The Body Shop, Levi's, a Pharmacy and Primark.

At 2:45 p.m. school started. At 6 o’clock, we and a few other mates from our class took the same bus back to our host families. We were all really exhausted and hungry. The host mother's sister had made us some fish and fries in a grid shape, which wasn't enough, so we had some cereals afterwards. At last, we spent some time eating at Pizza Hut with a few classmates.
